Modifiers can be considered as additional instructions, requests or services that you can create to suit your product. All modifiers created can be attached to different individual or group of products to cater to your needs.

For F&B industry; modifiers are used to represent additional food toppings or for the selection of the doneness of a steak.

For Service industry; modifiers can be used as an add-on service on top of an existing service.

Follow the steps below to create a modifier:

  1. After you have logged in to your back office, click on the category "Item"
  2. Next, click on the "Variable Management" sub-category
  3. Enter a name for your Variable Category
  4. Define if the modifier is compulsory, meaning that a selection has to be made in order for the product to be added to cart (click on the switch to toggle)
  5. Define if the modifier is discountable (item discount, bill discount, member's discount)
  6. Define if the group of modifier supports single or multiple selection (ability to choose only one or multiple modifier per variable category)
  7. To rearrange the variable group in the front office menu, enter a value to prioritise the position of your modifier (smaller number will always appear first).
  8. Click on "+ Add new variable" to create your modifier(s)
    • Under the Variables column, enter the desired name for your modifier
    • Under the Price column, enter the desired price for your modifier
    • Under the Sort column, enter a value to prioritise the position of your modifier on the front office menu (smaller number will always appear first)
    • Under the Utilised column, select an ingredient/raw material that is used for the modifier (if you do not wish to do so, you may leave it as "nil")
  9. Repeat step 8 (above) to add more modifier(s) under the same variable category
  10. Refer to the following article on How to add a modifier to product(s)
  11. Once done, click on "Save"
  12. To cancel your latest changes, click on "Cancel" (Not applicable to saved changes)
